We today formally announce at the end of this financial year that Gerald Thorne has stepped down as Director.
Gerald has been with Thornes since 1975 and committed 47 years of his life to the firm!. Throughout his time here, Gerald has worked incredibly hard and devoted so much of himself to ensure the success of the firm. He has been a fair, patient, calm and inspiring leader and an absolute pleasure to work with.
Gerald has covered many areas of law in his time with us including conveyancing, Personal Injury, mortgage repossessions, criminal defence work but in recent years has devoted his efforts to Care work and has grown the team to be the large and thriving department that it is today. Gerald is very highly regarded by his colleagues, other professionals and the judiciary as well as his many loyal clients who he has always treated with the highest respect despite their often very difficult circumstances and vulnerability.
We are all delighted that Gerald will remain as part of the team but working reduced hours to enable him to start to enjoy his retirement albeit on a part-time basis. Thank you for everything during your time as a Thornes Director, Gerald.
